Skills Bootcamps in Construction Trades
The Department for Education (DfE) Skills Bootcamps* for the Unemployed is an initiative introduced by the UK government to support individuals who are unemployed or facing job insecurity in gaining new skills and improving their employability. Skills Bootcamps are short, focused training programs designed to provide individuals with specific, in-demand skills that are needed in the job market.
Our Skills Bootcamps in Construction Trades are 4-week programmes, which cover either Bricklaying, Joinery and Carpentry, Plastering, or Painting and Decorating, providing you with all the necessary skills you need to work in a trade on a construction site, or on a self-employed basis.
You will explore the various techniques and methods within your chosen trade, alongside health, safety and welfare, communication and problem solving in the workplace, and skills for employment. You also will carry out practical operations, and gain an understanding of carbon awareness and energy management.
