About this course
The NPORS – Crane Supervisor Experienced Worker Assessment course assesses the delegates on the following:
- Current relevant legislation
- Understanding the role of crane supervisor
- Theoretical knowledge of plant operations as a crane supervisor
- Responsibilities of a crane supervisor, with regards to daily/weekly checks of machine
- Familiarity with the equipment and use of operator’s manual
- Safe and best practice in practical plant operating methods
- Theoretical assessment
- Practical assessment
Who this course is for
This course is designed for experienced operatives to prove their competence in safely and effectively operating as a crane supervisor to the occupational standards as laid down by the awarding organisation, NPORS.
Delivery
This course is delivered using a mixture of both classroom-based tutorials and practical machine operating, testing and a final course assessment paper.
Location
This course can be delivered on site or at a location suitable to you.
Certification
Successful delegates will qualify for an NPORS photo ID card and certificate of competence valid for 3 years.

Additional Information
Delegates should be physically fit and inform the trainer if they are taking any medication that may affect their ability to operate machinery.
Delegates will need to provide a passport photograph on the day of training and wear appropriate PPE.

Entry Requirements
Delegates must have sufficient experience of cranes to meet the requirements as laid out in British Standard 7121 Safe Use of Cranes.
Delegates must have passed the CITB Health, Safety and Environment test for managers no more than two years before attending this course.
It is also important that all delegates who attend this course have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
