About this course
The IPAF Push Around Vertical (PAV) course will provide operatives and supervisors working with a PAV with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely manoeuvre and position the PAV machine.
The IPAF Push Around Vertical (PAV) course covers the following:
- Safe operation of PAV and limitations of use
- Pre-use checks, inspection and function tests
- Emergency lowering
- Planning the route before operating the PAV
- Identifying the major components and their functions
- Starting/stopping the PAV and the correct starting and shut down procedures
- Manoeuvring the PAV
- Basic operational practice
- Achievement testing

Certification
Delegates who already hold an IPAF PAL and practical have their logbook endorsed with this qualification. correct starting who do not hold an IPAF PAL card will receive a PAL photo IDCard, which remains valid for 5 years.
Assessment
This course and their through a combination of classroom-based theory and practical training.
Additional Information
It is desirable, although not compulsory, that delegates have some experience of driving as an indication of dexterity.
