About this course
The Temporary Works Co-Ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) and the Temporary Works Supervisor Training Course (TWSTC) are designed to give those undertaking Temporary Works an understanding of their responsibilities as Co-ordinator or Supervisor, and a working knowledge of the importance of the 4 Cs; Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency.
The CITB-Construction Skills Site Safety Plus Temporary Works Co-ordinator Training Course (TWCTC) covers the following:
- Statutory aspects to Temporary Works
- Avoiding failure
- Role of the TWC
- Management
- Key aspects of different Temporary Works
- The importance of Communication, Co-ordination, Co-operation and Competency (the ‘4 Cs’)
- Safety and business-related risk management
This course addresses the process of the co-ordination and management of temporary works, delivered through the role of the Temporary Works Co-ordinator.
Who this course is for
This course is designed to assist those on-site who have responsibility for managing all forms of temporary works. It is also designed to give confidence to senior management and those who engage with contractors, to reach an assessed standard of knowledge.
It is important that all delegates have a good understanding of spoken and written English.
Delivery
This interactive course is delivered through classroom based tutorials which include case studies and group discussions.
Certification
CITB accreditation valid for 5 years.
Assessment
This course is delivered through a mixture of classroom based tutorials, using the BS5975:2008 and A1:2011course publications.
Additional Information
Delegates must attend the two days in order and, where not on consecutive days, must complete the course within two weeks.
