Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps

Working in partnership with Norfolk and Suffolk Skills Bootcamps, we can provide companies in the Construction sector with financial support to train and upskill staff in Level 2 Road Building / Highways Maintenance* with:

• Funding available depending on where you live
• Fully funded for self-employed individuals
• Enhanced Site-Ready Training
• New Roads and Street Works Act accreditation
• Delivered at employer’s workplace (flexible delivery models)
• NPORS / CPCS Plant Training
• Assessors will guide and support staff through the programme
• Employer contribution dependent on the size of the organisation
• Duration – 16 weeks

Our 16-week Skills Bootcamp in Road Building / Highways Maintenance course covers:

Part A:

Enrolment, Induction, Planning and Initial Training

• Health and Safety in Construction
• Environmental Awareness / Carbon Footprint
• Mental Health Awareness

Part B:

New Road and Streetworks Units including

• Location and avoidance of underground services
• Signing, Lighting and Guarding
• Excavation in the Highway
• Re-instatement and Compaction of Backfill Materials
• Re-instatement and Compaction of Sub-Base and Base Non Bituminous Materials
• Re-instatement and Compaction in Cold Lay
• Re-instatement of Modular Services and Concrete Footways

Part C:

NPORS / CPCS Plant Training

• Ride on Roller OR
• Forward Tipping Dumper

* Employees must attend the training sessions to complete the course
